Text Case Converter online

Convert text between UPPERCASE, lowercase and Title Case in one click — for headings, data cleanup and the caps-lock accidents everyone pastes eventually.

Quick answer: Paste text and select the target case for headings, labels or content cleanup.

How to use this tool

  1. Paste or type your text into the Text box.
  2. Click the case you want: UPPERCASE, lowercase or Title Case. The text converts in place.
  3. Copy the converted text with Copy Result.

Common uses

Normalising names and addresses exported from systems that shout in caps, preparing headings in a consistent editorial style, fixing a paragraph typed with caps lock on, and standardising product titles before they go into a catalogue.

How it works

Three conversions, each total: UPPERCASE maps every letter to its capital form, lowercase maps every letter down, and Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word while lowering the rest. The mapping is the Unicode-aware one built into the browser, so accented letters convert correctly (é becomes É). Title Case here is the simple word-by-word kind: every word is capitalised, including small words like "a", "the" and "of" — headline styles that keep minor words lowercase need a style-aware editor, or a quick manual pass.

Worked example

The line THE QUICK BROWN FOX in lowercase becomes the quick brown fox, and in Title Case, The Quick Brown Fox. A mixed input like hELLo wORLD normalises to the same two results — the conversions do not care what case you started from, which is what makes them safe for bulk cleanup.

Privacy and browser processing

Your text is converted in your browser with JavaScript — it is never uploaded or stored.

Frequently asked questions

Does Title Case follow AP/Chicago headline style?

No — those styles keep articles and short prepositions lowercase ("The Lord of the Rings"). This tool capitalises every word ("The Lord Of The Rings"). For book and film titles, lower the small words by hand after converting; it is a ten-second fix on a headline.

What happens to numbers and punctuation?

They pass through unchanged in all three conversions — only letters have case. "Order 123!" uppercases to "ORDER 123!".

Does it work for non-English text?

Yes, for scripts with case distinctions — German ß uppercases to ẞ (or SS in some contexts; the browser mapping uses ẞ), Turkish dotted I follows your browser locale's rules. Caseless scripts (Chinese, Arabic, Hebrew) are naturally unaffected.

Can it convert only part of my text?

The conversion applies to the whole box. Convert a fragment separately and paste it back, or select-all convert and fix the exceptions — for a heading or a paragraph, whole-text is what you want anyway.

Is my text uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in your browser; nothing leaves the page.
